Voluntary education (VolEd) opportunities are available to you regardless of where you serve. As a military member serving outside of the continental U.S. (OCONUS), you have access to a variety of options to help you begin or continue your education. Depending on your location, you may have access to these education services:

► On-site and Online Courses

Central Command/Africa Command Downrange Areas:

In CENTCOM/AFRICOM, University of Maryland Global Campus provides onsite classes and education support for service members.

European Command

In EUCOM, there are two colleges/universities offering curriculum for service members:

OCONUS News

293 students in the class of 2025 who walked the stage Saturday at commencement, with nearly 1,000 spectators on hand to bear witness.

This year’s class is one of the largest in the university’s history, according to university president Gregory Fowler.
